Woodstock, Ontario may be the Dairy Capital of Canada, but it only has a couple of dairy bars, in fact there are twice as many Chinese restaurants and four times as many pizza places.

There are more restaurants in London and Waterloo which are each about 50 clicks away, but in different directions.

Woodstock is especially proud of two of its late citizens. Snow Countess was born on November 18, 1919 and died on August 9, 1936. In those seventeen short years she produced 9,062 pounds of butterfat, a tremendous feat at that time.

The other Woodstock hero is "Klondike" Joe Boyle who made a fortune in the Klondike gold rush, raised and equipped a 50 man machine gun company in the first world war, ran a 450 man spy net-work in Russia and rescued the Romanian Crown jewels from the Bolsheviks.
